Thank you to chef Wikus and his team for an out-of-this-world buffet-to-the-table at our wedding held at L’Avenir Wine Estate this past December! Everything on the menu was tailored to our taste and preference and their correspondence and organization was on point. Our guests loved the canapés and couldn’t get enough of everything served. Thank you Dawid & the Red Pepper Catering team for the delicious food that was served at our wedding on 17.03.2018! We knew that food would be one of our most important aspects on our Big Day and once we were sent the Menu PDF of countless options for canapes, starters, mains, and desserts – it was clear we’d have you cater our wedding. Since James & I live abroad, we had to communicate with you via email and send our moms to do the menu tasting on our behalf – they loved it and it was a great way to have them involved! Throughout the process of choosing our menu, tasting, and coming up with the final menu, we felt that we were in good hands. All the food was delectable, but there was certainly one item that stood out… the croquembouche! We threw a curve ball into the mix and requested that a croquembouche large enough for 70 guests (that’s 210 profiteroles!) would be served as our ‘wedding cake’. Dawid immediately understood the importance of having a croquembouche and brought it to life in the most spectacular way! Our guests were amazed when the sugary cone tower was carried out from the kitchen and it was 100% the show-stopper we’d hoped for. It was devoured and by the time the night ended, only a few morsels remained – testimony to how delicious it was!
