Franschhoek Flowers is a small floristry studio in the picturesque Franschhoek Winelands. Our shop is home to innovative floristry that pushes the boundaries with novel combinations and colour pairings, whilst celebrating some of the classics. For this, we draw inspiration from our surrounds to create botanical works that complement – not compete with – its setting and closely follow the seasons. With a focus on the plant material used, each arrangement or installation we make highlights the natural splendour of flower and foliage, accentuating its shape, colour and texture. This translates to a natural, uncomplicated style that is sometimes minimalist in its execution and other times wonderfully abundant.
We offer bespoke floral creations, from bouquets to boutonnieres, to bridal couples looking to tie the knot in our beautiful valley, as well as further afield. Whether it’s indoors or out, a lavish affair or a small and intimate gathering, boho or classic, we probably have a bloom for the occasion. We can also help with table styling and rentals. We also do flowers for private parties, corporate events, fundraisers and workshops.
Estee and her team provided our wedding with beautiful flower arrangements. Although we had 37 degrees on that day in Franschhoek, Estee made sure we would have beautiful flowers for the ceremony. We had a spectacular flower arch leading into the chapel and wonderful table flower arrangements and bouquets. She is very reliable and customer orientated. I would recommend her to anyone. – Patricia Ott

I have been working as a florist in the wedding industry since 2008. I am based in Tulbagh, but I work all over the Western Cape and also enjoy traveling for destination weddings. If I could describe my style, it would be: unstructured, whimsical, organic and romantic and sometimes even a bit over the top. I love to push boundaries with brave brides, but also enjoy conforming to the traditional – with a fresh twist!
I am not all about flowers, I also believe in creating lasting relationships with all my clients and suppliers and always try to handle both my clients and suppliers with the utmost respect and kindness. My clients are super important to me and I believe that each couple is unique, as are their needs. I always endeavour to tailor my services and 12 years of floral experience around my clients’ style and their budget, because no two weddings are alike.
Planning your floral décor should be the most exciting part of your wedding day and I want the whole experience to be as stress-free and enjoyable for you as possible. I only create once-off designs. I do not replicate other designers’ work, or any of my previous weddings. I will take elements of your inspiration images, combined with my own ideas, to create something truly unique to compliment your personality and the vision you have for your big day, whilst respecting nature and the seasonality of flowers. I love to see flowers used in the way that they would appear in nature – wild and unrestricted. Or simply showcasing the beauty of a single flower all on its own. I try to offer a service that is second-to-none by remembering to always under-promise and over-deliver. My goal is to not only meet my client’s expectations, but to always exceed them!
Anli came highly recommended by the event manager at my wedding venue, Montpellier de Tulbagh, and after taking a brief look at her portfolio of work, I was sold. However, Anli exceeded ALL of my expectations. Not only did she work with my ever-changing budget and deal with my constant indecisiveness (she drafted 6 different quotes for me!), Anli was professional and polite and patient with me throughout the planning process… I know I wasn’t the easiest bride, but Anli never once made me feel like she was irritated by my emails and questions, and was always willing to work with my vision. Anli is a true artist. Her work will blow your mind. I had a clear idea of what I had wanted in my mind, but she took my vision to entirely new level. Every single person at my wedding commented on how beautiful my flowers were. Anli made my wedding spectacular. – Kelly Stone

Angie, Dinie and Elizabeth were kind and patient through all the back and forths, and their excellent service calmed me down and made me feel like everything is under control. Thanks! – Reshmi

Since the Victorian era, flowers have been used to express romantic thoughts and emotions when words or gestures failed. Extremely romantic, this tradition is still alive and well today. Organising a wedding in South Africa, from the UK, is no mean feat! I would like to thank Nicci and her Aspen team, for their friendly, super organised and extremely professional service we received. I was completely at ease with Nicci’s calm, happy and super organised approach and not to mention her fantastic suggestions. Our Wedding was more than we expected and the flowers exceptional. So wish we could do it all again! – Mrs S, London.
Based in Cape Town, Foraged is an environmentally conscious, ‘garden style’ – floral service that offers whimsical bouquets, wild botanical arrangements and -installations for weddings, events, and retail spaces. Our floral designs are inspired by the changing seasons and the lush outdoors. Our work can be described as romantic loosely arranged, and unstructured with a real down to earth feel. We kinda let the flowers do what they want to do.
We source fresh cut botanicals from the finest local suppliers and flower farms, depending on the season and the blooms available. Our focus is on using local and sustainable flowers, dried plant material and foraged foliage mostly, but we may in some cases source internationally. We would like to start with a consultation in which we can start the process of dreaming up your unique wedding or event. We can touch on all the small details from concept to execution so that you can walk away knowing every flower, vase, and other request is uniquely suited to your taste and style.
I feel so lucky that we found Janine to do our wedding decor. I wanted our wedding reception to feel like a magical forest and she 100% made my dreams come true. So many of our guests commented on how amazingly beautiful our hanging greens and candles looked (and we definitely agreed!) Janine helped guide me through a year of indecision and number changes with such kindness and patience – which is exactly what I needed when dealing with wedding stress. I would definitely recommend Janine – she is so skilled and wonderful to work with. – Kaitlin Alsofrom
